  • Summary: Has good range, and is able to connect at 300mbits with perfect signal around 30 ft. The problem is that despite the good signal strength this device is unable to transfer data above 5mbits/s. I test using several online speed test sites. I tested this with several computers with the same results. I have a 50mbit connection at home and I am able to achieve these speed with other wireless devices. Time to lay some cat5.

  • Summary: I have had this product for several months now, and have never had a problem with it. It picks up signals that my laptop doesn't. Today my toddler soaked the adapter in a cup of water. To my suprise it still works!!!! Also I have it hanging in my window where it gets banged around a lot. It is probably the most durable electronic devise I have ever owned. Would buy again and recommend!

  • Summary: I bought this product so I could play World of Warcraft wirelessly upstairs, literally at the opposite corner of the house. I expected to have a noticeable latency issue in game, but really Its about the same as being hardwired. This is truly a great product. I imagine the wireless Router also makes a difference on the performance of this, and I have it paired with the Netgear Open Source Wireless-G Router and it works pretty good.

  • Summary: I had tried a belkin with poor results, it wouldn't pick up the signal but this Netgear that I replaced the belkin with it really good. The router is at one end of the house and this computer is at the other end and it consistently has 3 bars, sometimes more. It works very well with no problems watching video and application downloads. I would definitely recommend this item. I got it at at local Walmart on sale for $49.95. great deal.

  • Summary: To be fair, this product connected to no wifi channels in my area. This may be because there are no N being broadcast. But I got no G either, though I did get G channels using my desk PC and an existing wifi adapter.

  • Summary: Don't rush to replace your computer with an installed wireless-n machine. Get an 'n' router and one or two of these handy devices.
  • Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install and use, works as advertised.
  • Cons: Top is not tethered to the device and can be easy to lose.

  • Summary: We have a fairly big home with a lot of Wireless dead spots. Belkin's equivelant equipment could not penetrate the dead spots in our home. It would have been more expensive to hard wire our home to reach these areas. I read Consumer Report's reviews on this item and the recommended Router WNR834B, and purchased both items from Wal-Mart. What an amazing difference. The range and speeds are consistently awesome.
