My old Linksys extender did a much better job but would not work with a Netgear Router

Summary: The extender only raised my range from one bar to two bars or about twenty feet. It was not worth the price. I purchased the extender because I changed routers from Limksys to Netgear. My old Linksys extender did a much better job but would not work with a Netgear Router.
Summary: Wireless modem is (was) on one side of my house in the basement and wi fi worked throughout the house but not out side on the patio on the far end of the house. I put the wi fi booster in an outlet near the door to the patio and sometimes it worked, but more often I was on 3G instead of wi fi. I've since wired my wi fi modem to the upstairs and have fixed the problem and will probably give this booster to my brother to see if he has better luck.
Not effective and makes little difference, but good company .

Summary: Didn't work at all. I tried close, tried far , tried medium, tried up, tried down. When it worked sometimes it made Internet worse. The company was nice enough to give me a refund so I would try other products from them.

Unfortunately, the product fails in every other category than size. First off, the setup assistant is clunky, slow, and the instruction manual included incorrect information on how to establish a connection to the device (it is mywifiext.com NOT mywifiext.net as noted in the manual).
Summary: I wish it was a simple WPS button press on the booster and a simple WPS button press on the router to synch everything up quickly and painlessly. For those that successfully synched up within minutes, oh how I envy you! What I discovered was a whole other matter as "option 2" was my only option. I consider myself reasonably tech savvy.
Summary: Installed fairly easily, though the installation required a user name and password that was difficult to find in the 2"x2" instructions (admin and password). Not sure what value a password is for a tech installation. Worked well for a week and then stopped sending a signal. It was then difficult to reset the device to reinstall (Turns out you have to hold the reset pin down for at least a minute -- which of course was no where in the instructions) After two long calls to...
