Summary: Bought it thinking it would boost my wi-fi signal in the basement from our router which is located on the second floor. I even used a wi-fi strength measuring app to see if it made a difference, and it made no difference. Signal was better with the router directly.
Summary: This extender could not get a good connection with the router that was only 15 feet away. It is not powerful enough for most homes. Buy the WN3000RP by Netgear. It is much more powerful but costs twice as much but worth it.
Summary: DO NOT BUY. I'm a simple person. I wasn't getting enough wifi in my bedroom to play HD video consistently. I went out, bought this product expecting it to AT LEAST cover the 6 feet from my wall outlet to my bed to ocmfortaobly watch movies and videos.
Summary: Unfortunately, we have a 3BR home and this extender proved totally underpowered, despite multiple re-boots, multiple locations, etc. Either it could not establish a robust connection with our router or its radiated signal was too anemic to reach the bedroom laptop (forty feet away).
Summary: Very easy to set up. If it's not within 20 ft. of the main unit, it's a total waste. When your phone or tablet sees it, you get less bars than you get from the main unit. Save your money and buy a more powerful main router.
Summary: This product will not work unless it is plugged I within 5 feet of our router. We followed the directions and redid the connection instructions 5 times to no avail.
