Summary: Yes, I'll admit, it was a pain setting this up. Here's the explanation: It IS plug&play, all you have to do is plug in the first box into your router, and then the second box into another outlet anywhere in your house (and it DOES work on a power strip and a transformer), I know because I use this...
Summary: I tried every higher-end pre-N, N, type wireless device but those couldn't cut through walls in an NYC duplex apartment that has windy hallways and lots of concrete. This solution worked great. Easy to install, and great form factor.
Summary: I bought this wireless range extender kit with hopes that I could boost the wireless signal in our 3-story house. I am happy to report that it did the job splendidly. Installation was a snap. I highly recommend the Netgear WGXB102 54Mbps Wall-Plugged Wireless Range Extender Kit
Summary: I've read a number of reviews of this product which said that while it was a breeze setting it up with an unsecured network, configuring security was a nightmare. Since I use WEP encryption and a MAC address access list on my network, I was anticipating an unpleasant experience getting it set up and...
Summary: This product works even better than I imagined. It is not often you buy a computer product and don't spend valuable time trying to read the manual, or deciphering what the foriegn customer service rep is trying to explain.
Great product, requires some understanding of networking

Summary: If you install this and the companion wireless router using all of the default settings, this is a straightforward product to set up. If, however, you've opted to customize your network settings, be aware that you have to understand the dependencies this introduces, such as setting up DHCP, network...
Summary: I bought a d-link repeater before I got this setup from Netgear. The d-link was a bust. Although the repeater broadcast a strong signal, it needed to pickup the signal in a position equidistant between your laptop (wherever you are) and your wireless router for you to get a decent signal.
Summary: In the instructions is says "don't plug into a power strip" because this will degrade performance. Well, don't plug it into the same outlet as a powerstrip is plugged into either(like I did). This will also make the device malfunction.
Summary: I had many problems playing online games (Internet Poker) with drop-outs and slow/low connection using Linksys wireless-G router. Router is upstairs, PC is downstairs. Tried High Gain antennas with no significant change. Finally installed the NetGear WGXB102 and system works great.
