Excellent product. Want to secure the network after it's set up? Read my review

L. Decker "Zach, her awesome son", Amazon
10 August 2009
  • Summary: Yes, I'll admit, it was a pain setting this up. Here's the explanation: It IS plug&play, all you have to do is plug in the first box into your router, and then the second box into another outlet anywhere in your house (and it DOES work on a power strip and a transformer), I know because I use this...

Pricey, but worth every penny so far

E. Scott, Amazon
4 January 2009
  • Summary: I found this a little harder to set up than I expected. The webpage for changing the settings would not come up. I finally figured out that I had to run the utility (installed from the cd) first. Then I could change the settings (i.e. set security).

You won't regret buying this

WiseWoman "SAHM emeritus", Amazon
15 October 2007
  • Summary: My wireless router has been pretty much useless. Buying this range extender kit was the most economical solution to my "can't get a signal" problem. Using this couldn't be simpler. One of the units has an outlet, one does not.

Worked great in 3 minutes

30 September 2007
  • Summary: We had a four-year old "B" wireless/router in which the "wireless" part gave out. I spent hours trying to get a new, major-brand "G" wireless/router to work. So --- I then tried this Netgear Powerline system. The kit has two pieces, each about the size of a nitelite.

Works great - relatively easy set-up (for a techie).

Shao-Pow Lin, Amazon
6 June 2007
  • Summary: I bought this item to extend my wireless network in my 3 level home so that my Playstation3 could talk to one of my XP computers, which funtions as a media server. I initially had a 70% signal at the Playstation which was inadequate to maintain a good enough connection to stream music/video.

Great for multilevel NYC apartments

C. Wright, Amazon
9 November 2006
  • Summary: I tried every higher-end pre-N, N, type wireless device but those couldn't cut through walls in an NYC duplex apartment that has windy hallways and lots of concrete. This solution worked great. Easy to install, and great form factor.

It really works

M. Sweeney "Wybnormal", Amazon
5 November 2006
  • Summary: I found this as the perfect solution to fill in some dead airt space in my house downstairs given the internet connection is upstairs and so far, other wireless solutions have been marginal. I really wondered if the Ethernet over powerlines would really work or if the 802.11G would really work.
