Excerpt: This router is pretty annoying. I currently have two computers connected to it, a desktop and a laptop, and oftentimes I have trouble trying to connect. My computer will be connected to the network, but for some reason will have, "no internet access," which doesn't really make any sense. So, I will have to walk all the way over to my router, (which is on the other side of the house, which isn't that far away. I'm just lazy...
Excerpt: The Netgear WGR614 router lasted about a year. It worked well enough when it was functional but I believe it should have lasted longer. It was easy to install and it connected well but it did not last long enough. a 1 year service life was insufficient. setup was fast and easy. I could get the network working right away. It was out of warranty, so I did nt call. I followed the suggestions on the web site for troubleshooting. None worked.
Summary: The slowest router in the world. This version needs to be discontinued and replaced with a version that has more speed. These routers are not worth anything, except check your mail and visit websites that you normally do with a DSL connection. Its good for survival and emergency networking. What I have found out is that it does go as fast for slow, old PC's such as the EZ2605 with only 320 Megs of RAM. If the PC had more RAM then it would work better.

I set everything up right and went over my work and still nothing.
Excerpt: I bought this router because, basically it was the best deal, and it does what I need it to. I am not a techie person but, I work on computers (with) everyday doing either work or personal things. So I guess you could say if it was between 1-10 I would be a 7 as far as computers are concerned . Anyway this router was a pain in the a... to set up I could not get it to connect. I called their support line what a joke !
