Summary: Bought this at Costco in 2013 for what I thought was a steal. It bricked on 7/15/2015. Less than two years. It appears the internet port on the router fried. At first I thought it was the modem, but if I plug any PC directly into the modem I get internet so it's undoubtedly the router.
Summary: First - you need to be aware that the warranty is from date of purchase, not date of install. So do not delay installing this and getting it working, or you'll run into problems. Next, this things requires frequent firmware updates. If it is updating itself and your internet drops out, it corrupts.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

Summary: This is the WORST product ever from a company with TERRIBLE customer service. I have been on hold with their "voice prompt" system for over an hour on hold and this was after waiting the entire weekend for help.
Summary: I thought this was the best but have been disappointed with the performance. Have three samsung smart Tv's, Mac, Mac pro laptop and iPhone 6. The problem is when I have Smart TV on movie the other will drop wireless and say it cannot connect.

Summary: I have been a fan of Netgear for years. I bought this to replace an older Netgear router. There are many routers out there that provide gigabyte hardwired network access. Some were rated better than this.
Terrible Customer Service - Warranty is a Gimmick!
6 May 2015
Summary: Stay Away! Limited LIFETIME warranty is what is posted on their box. That is a huge stretch at best. It's really a marketing lie/ploy. When you call to claim the warranty you will be informed that you will not receive a replacement until Tech Support Trouble Shoots the issue.
I've thus waited until I could not bare the poor connectivity any longer

Summary: The router worked as per the specs for about 4 months, at which point the wireless connection's bandwidth has gone down from 45Mb/sec to less than 3Mb/sec, with intermittent outages. For a while I've blamed Comcast, not willing to consider that a fairly new router could be malfunctioning.
Summary: Am having lots of problems with the unit. Have to reboot frequently and the wifi slows down and stops working lots of times for short periods. Tested with direct ethernet hookup when the wifi slowed down to 2Mbps via speed test and speed test showed 16Mbps with direct hookup.
Summary: Superb range, even for 5 GHz. Placement is on bottom floor of a large 3-story home. Both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz have good signal in all rooms, even on top floor. 2.4 GHz delivers better speed through walls, equivalent to wire connection (50+ Mbps). Easy setup.
