Summary: Does not connect @ GB speed with many NIC's. I have had my GS605 v2 for many years, but was using it on 100 network. I just installed new CAT-6. Found out that this switch will not work with my Intel 82579V NIC (constant flapping).
Summary: I got the 'v2' version (GS605 v2) of this switch to put into my relatively complicated home network. I have homeplug adapters between floors, my NAT box and a media center upstairs, and several PC's and an XBox 360 downstairs, as well as a windows home server I move between upstairs and downstairs.

Summary: This was for my husbands computer in the basement. With all the pipes there, his reception on the wireless was bad. Now he's getting a full signal and is quite pleased. I would recommend this to everyone.
Summary: Great little switch. I needed to upgrade from an old hub I had for my TV now that everything is internet-connected. This gave me something easy to slip in amongst my Blu-ray player, cable box, Wii and AppleTV without being disruptive.
