I never could get it to stay connected

Rabinzero, Amazon
3 January 2013
  • Summary: I returned this so quick it wasn't even funny. Read reviews about it constantly losing connection and that's exactly what happened. For someone who was a huge fan of Linksys products, I hope they get better.

Terrible Drivers

Josh K., Newegg
3 March 2011
  • Summary: I do not think it is the hardware so much as it is TERRIBLE driver support. The last update to this driver was 3/24/10, despite many many forum posts from disgruntled customers such as myself, complaining about this not holding a connection. I have tried 2 different routers and the same effect.
  • Pros: It plugs in and works with Windows 7 64-bit
  • Cons: - Does not stay connected after reboot (must unplug and plug it back it for Windows to recognize it) - Intermittently slows to a crawl - bandwidth wise. Requires resetting the network adapter - Very troublesome when playing online games

really really bad & unreliable

Anonymous, Newegg
17 February 2011
  • Summary: This think is either total junk, or else it just does not work well with WIN7. I have downloaded the lastest supposedly working drivers, but it does not help. Avoid this dog like the plague. Worse piece of computer gear I have bought in 20 years,. I started buying and building computers in 1983.
  • Pros: looks nice
  • Cons: Constantly quits working. I have to unplug it and then plug it back in to get it to work. Then, after a while, it does it again. AS soon as my downloads drop to a snails pace, I know I have to do it again.

Another dud

Darryl M., Newegg
15 February 2011
  • Summary: This device was designed to be operated in VISTA. Version 2 of this device doesn't seem to work with windows 7 - 64 bit. I'm going to try tech support again.
  • Pros: Not sure, it won't work.
  • Cons: I'm running windows 7-64 bit. I ran the CD, system crashes. I let windows discover it and load the driver. Driver doesn't work. Yes, the windows7-64 bit driver from their website. Called Tech support. Still no help.

  • Summary: Maybe just a defective individual unit.
  • Pros: Newegg gave refund

Didn't work well

Frank G., Newegg
23 March 2010
  • Pros: None.
  • Cons: It had less signal strength than the internal adapter of the laptop I installed it in. It would drop connections frequently. I had hoped that the higher speed would improve the performance, but, instead it degraded. I returned it.
