Summary: This comes with a sticker right on it that says to run the CD first before plugging it in and warns you not to do it any other way. Someone else on here reviewed this item and said its plug and play, so I tried it. I plugged it in to the USB port on my son's desktop computer, Windows found it immediately and asked for the disk. I then inserted the disk and Windows finished the install -- 5 minutes max. The computer is running Windows XP.
Summary: Don't get this! Installing onto a Win7 computer was way more complicated than it should be, and the reception was horrible. It picked up one bar when my laptop next to me got about 4. Putting this back in the mail tomorrow!
Summary: Having used Linksys(now cisco)products for awhile now,I have not been disappointed with them and this product continues that streak. My largest concern was not with the product itself, but with the fact that I expected the version that was displayed of this model when I purchased it, to be sent to me and it was not. Instead I was sent the version 4 of this product which happened to work for me anyhow so I did not send it back.

Summary: Pros: Small; easy installation; conforms to the 802.11g standard; USB connection. Cons: N/a Bottom Line: The Linksys Wireless-G WUSB54GC receives an A+ from me. I give the card high marks for ease of installation, configuration, and throughput. There is something amiss with the (Broadcom) wireless Network Interface Cards (NIC's) Hewlett Packard (HP) is using in its Notebook products. I have had two simply stop working after the notebook reached about two years of age.
