Summary: This is an okay product by Cisco it reaches about 90 foot no problems. But in today's market there are alot better products for about the same price. It is nice that it comes with a long USB extension
Summary: This thing has so many driver problems. Constantly Windows 7 would want to update this and if it did it would make it stop working. What a hassle to fix it and I made that mistake more than once.
Summary: It wasn't much of a hassle having to disconnect and reconnect every once in a while but the other day after only a few months of having it, it just died on me. I thought it may have been my computer or one of the connectors but i just plugged in a different wireless device to the same adapter and it...
Pros: Was a good price and great speed when it was working
Cons: Had to disconnect myself from my wireless network every so often because the connection would slow which seemed like the bandwidth was being choked out. Seemed to run hot Made more noise than any other wireless device i have used in the past
Summary: I would buy this if you are not using windows 7. It works great with vista on one of my older computers!
Pros: Works great with Vista but not so great with windows 7. Looks nice and I like the base that comes with it.
Cons: I read the other reviews saying it did work well with windows 7and it does sometimes, but not always with my new system. I contacted Linksys and they said windows 7 was not compatible. Hopefully a new driver will come out that supports windows 7 in the future. They were not sure why it worked whe...
Summary: Linksys really isn't what they used to be. I think I'll stick to Netgear who has been crushing the competition with wireless technology lately...I would advise if you use Win 7, do not buy this card...
Pros: Great reception, does in fact kill dead spots, fast transfer speeds for a wireless USB adapter
Cons: BSOD immediately once the network card is overwhelmed and it is a driver .dll or .sys error code and after the memory dump, the computer restarts. Checked linksys website, the last driver they have for this card is from '06 so it's not Windows 7 compatible like most new cards...
Prevented PC from booting, but maybe the PC is the one to blame?
23 December 2009
Summary: I installed this on my elderly father's HP Pavilion a1600n (AMD) PC. The installation went smoothly. However, I've learned to reboot the PC before leaving the scene, and it seemed like it didn't want to boot.
Summary: This wireless n adapter is slower than any other adapter in my house. I get slower speeds with this than with my built in wireless b/g adapter in my notebook (in the same location). Even with the two "antennas" it has poor reception range.
Summary: I am not slamming the product or the dealer here... I am pretty sure this is an isolated case. I bought this as a refurbished product and I guess it was a bad one. Only after three weeks of everything running fine, it decided to start disconnecting from the network totally.
Difficulty connecting to wireless network, but I discovered how to do it
Desert Husker, Amazon
2 November 2009
Summary: I received the Linksys WUSB300N-RM Wireless N USB from Amazon (Deal Barn) just a couple of days after I ordered it. Despite being refurbished, it looks brand new. I tried installing the drivers from the enclosed CD, but after installing/uninstalling 10 times, it still wouldn't locate my home...
