  • Summary: Owned this for over four years now, still going strong. Gone from my main router to a wireless client to leech neighbours wireless to a wireless G range extender. Still in use but recently bought 2 new routers so I'll probably retiring this soon. Figured I should give it a review. I've only loaded Tomato on it over the past few years.
  • Pros: Stable, handle high number connections once you load Tomato or DD-WRT on it.
  • Cons: Price, G only, 100Mb LAN only. Outdated hardware.

  • Pros: Great brand, easy firmware updates, and easy to upgrade antenna.
  • Cons: Wireless G

  • Summary: Bought a certified refurbished router that didn't end up working and had to get an exchange. Replacement worked fine but was still annoying to set up. With that said, everything now works perfectly. If only needing a router for wifi, this old model will do the trick as good, if not better, than any of the newer routers.
  • Pros: No dropped connections, Custom firmware
  • Cons: Pain to set up

  • Summary: This is more towards the product description than the product itself. It states that the minimum requirement is as follows : Minimum Requirements Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.0 or Higher for Web-based coniguration CD-ROM Drive Windows 2000, XP, or Vista Network Adapter or Wireless Network Adapter This information is INCORRECT. Attention would not have been targeted towards this except that this is a Linux based router and it says you NEED Windows to use it.

  • Summary: I already had a few of these but they came on sale refurbished - who could resist, a complete Linux computer with 5 Ethernet ports, b/g wireless etc. for only $20.99?
  • Pros: Basic workhorse router that is easily reprogrammed with Tomato, DD-WRT etc.
  • Cons: You need to make sure it has good ventilation as they are prone to over-heating.
