I have encountered a problem of my wrt5462 router. Every morning it won't connect to the internet, so what I did is set it to Static Ip - save, then set it back to Automatic Configuration DHCP - save, then the internet would work back again - weird. Does anybody here encountered the same problem like mine? Could you provide some sort of solution? thanks you..
I picked one of these routers up the other day and I cant connect it with wireless.. (via my i-pod).. And I need it in order too get to the Configuration screen so i can get my wireless signals.. help!!!
I have a Linksys WRT54G2 wireless router and a Linksys WMP54G wireless network card for desktop. Both were easy to install and set up. The problem is that with an 89% signal strength, my connection still seems to come and go. My primary computer is wired directly to the router without trouble, so I know the problem is not with my internet provider. Someone at Radio shack suggested the reason may be the location. The desktop is in the old part of the house in a room that has plaster walls with wire mesh. Aparently the wire mesh creates a shield for wireless signals. Has any one had a similar experience? Any suggestions?
WHEN I TRY TO SET UP WIRELESSLY I GET A MESSAGE THAT SAYS "EXCEPTION HAS BEEN THROWN BY THE TARGET OF AN INVOCATION." THE ONLY OPTION IT GIVES ME IS TO CANCEL. WHEN I HIT THAT IT ACTS LIKE ITS STILL LOADING BUT IT HAS BEEN OVER 15 MINUTES AND IT WILL GO NO FURTHER THEN "PLEASE WAIT WHILE YOUR WIRELESS NETWORK SETTINGS ARE RECEIVED" WHATS THE DEAL?
