It looked very stylish to me, It didn’t look exactly as i thought it would be ( a gadget with antennas that is a size of a wide brick). The installation was a breeze i remember how my brother would install int in a matter of minutes, there was just a minor problem that he needed to call to Linksys . but it was just few minutes and it worked well, Now, i know how it worked. I love this thing because it made me work with no wires at all. Read more
If you don't need a fast, draft-n wireless network, the Linksys WRT54G2 is one of the best options on the market. This is mainly because it's so easy to set up, is a reliable performer, and comes with the convenient LELA configuration and monitoring utility. Plus, it looks good: it's black, sleek, and doesn't have any protruding antennas. Read more
In the nefarious world of Wi-Fi standards 802.11b is still king, despite its low bandwidth of only 11 Mb/s. The competing 802.11a standard offers up to 54Mb/s, but apart from some dual standard supporting hardware, it has not received the support expected thanks to the prominence of 802.11b and general lack of interoperability between the two. I purchased this router as a refurbished item from Fleabay as one of their dailydeals and it's been going strong for over a year-and-a-half of constant use. I'll be upgrading to a N compliant router in the near future and I hope it will last as long as this one did. Read more
I just bought this router last August of 2009. One year and one month later, I am told I cannot use it to connect the PC3. And now, the settings have been altered and Linksys refuses to assist me with reconnecting it unless I pay them another $30. Freaken rediculous. If I don't find a way to fix myself, I will sue!!!! I bought my router in May. Up until about two weeks ago, I had no problem. Then, I lost my connection. I disconnected my ethernet-connected computer directly to the modem and my internet was perfect. The problem is that my primary computer is the one that connects to the internet wirelessly. So, I called Linksys, reset the router updated some settings. Then, Sunday night I lost my connection again. Read more

The WRT54G2 Internet-sharing Router features 4-port Switch, and Wireless-G (802.11g) Access Point. It shares a single Internet connection and other resources with Ethernet wired and Wireless-G/-B devices. The router connects computers in a network with the Internet, enabling communication, sharing resources and files, as well as printing on a shared printer. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup allows users to configure wireless devices with a push the button on the router. Other Wi-Fi Protected Setup-enabled wireless device then automatically creates WPA2 connection that protects data and privacy with up to 256-bit industrial-strength encryption. The Router serves as a DHCP Server, has SPI firewall to protect PCs against intruders and Internet attacks, supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to filter internal users’ access to the Internet.
Linksys has launched a new wireless-G broadband router aimed at consumers, the WRT54G2, the successor to the Cisco WRT54G.

The WRT54G2 ships with the Linksys EasyLink Advisor application, a simple-to-use software package designed to take away the technical hassle of setting up a wireless network.
Security can be configured with one button on the WRT54G2 thanks to the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) feature that sees users push the WPS button on the router and on another WPS-enabled wireless device to create an encrypted wireless connection between them.
