Summary: Have had router for a number of years and worked well. Support software was for Windows XP and Vista. Linksys wanted to charge me $30 for a phone call or live chat to set up the router to be supported by Windows 7. Thanks but no. Will never buy another Linksys product.
Summary: Bought one. Died after 13 months (1 year warranty of course). Went to big box store and they said it does happen sometimes. Bought another one. Died after 14 months. Both units worked fine and never required resetting or rebooting. They worked great, until they up and died. Customer service was absolutely no help. Suggested I reset or reboot and when that didn't work, they were out of ideas. What great tech support! I give up on Cisco.
Summary: I owned two of these one replacing the other, both needed to be rebooted every couple of weeks and both of the conked out after less than a year. I now have a D-Link wireless N router that has been problem free for more than 18 month now.
Summary: Recieved this item in poor packaging (would you believe in a priority mail envelope?) I did not recieve the information I needed to make it work. My father worked 5 hours on this item, I chose Linksys because it sounded like adurable product. I tried to talk to the Amazon client but all he/she was concerned about was he/her rating and he/her would not answer any of my questions. It felt generic and then creepy and then it started to feel like harrassment.
Summary: i brought a linksys router from amazon model wrt54g in sept07 , it cost me 46$ , i would like to tell u all to buy a buy a brand new one instead of buying a used one. My router didnt work at all an there was an inherent problem with it. I tried customer care and everything else , finally i had to return the product to amazon.
Excerpt: If you are considering this router please, please be wary of the version number, it can be found on the bottom next to the serial number. We made the mistake of thinking that there was one version and as a result ended up with a bricked router, no amount of firmware updates could fix it and in the end we opted for dd-wrt, an open source Linux firmware rewrite, which although very technical, ended up being a very nice option rather than binning the router.
Comes with a European adapter - order WRT54G-UK instead

Summary: I fell into the same trap as the other reviewers - this unit comes with a European adapter. I believe that model number WRT54G-UK is the same unit, but comes with a UK adapter, so order it instead.
