Summary: This one is still in the box, it's a spare. I manage the WIFI for a 5 acre RV park with motel. I love these things. easy to program as a router or a repeater with the ddwrt download. Range doesn't seem to be as wide as a repeater, but I've had no trouble or complaints in the last 10 months. Three of them are up trees as repeaters. One covers the 12unit motel as a repeater. Receive a good signal even through the metal RVS. Can't go wrong.
Excerpt: I bought this item on sale, and couldn't be happier. My laptop recieves Wifi all throughout my house and at really high connection speeds. The only downside is that when my brother has his laptop on, it takes my laptop a few minutes to locate the internet (not too tech savvy on this topic). It probably has more to do with his laptop than the router however. It is also very easy to install, and someone with very little computer knowledge can set up their home network.
Excerpt: this router is great got tired of paying to much for internet from expensive internet service providers you can go to store buy one pay one price and don't have to mess with high bills each month it works just as good this router is great Reviewer is an employee or otherwise affiliated with the brand.
Linkys was the right choice for quality wireless signle.

Excerpt: I was living with my boyfriend, a pc user, and me a mac user. And we needed a wireless router to suit both our needs. We needed something with strong signal and able to work with both of our computers without me wanting to throw it against a wall. I probably wouldn't have bought it because it was a little on the pricy side but I had a $50 credit to Office Max so I bought the best I could afford. It turned out to be a good router and its still going after a year.
Excerpt: after going through 2 netgear routers, we were sick of it! initially they were easy to use, but they seemed to go out after 6months to a year. Their technical support was awful and they were not very compatible with our internet service provider. With that being said, we finally switched to Linksys. It was a good and smart move! No problems! No issues! No headaches! We haven't even had to call customer service because it hasn't been needed at all!
Excerpt: Let me start by saying that I am not a computer person - at all. When my husband brought this item home I didnt even know what wireless internet service met! When he explained to me that I could go online anywhere in our home - and that our kids could as well - I was skeptical. It also looked very complicated to install - my husband wouldnt admit it but he is not very tech savy either -- he is even less mechanical!
Excerpt: I have used Netgears, D-Links and other Linksys / Cisco devices in the past. I purchased one of the WRT400N's for use at my mother-in-laws home. They are easy to set up, stable, and have a great range (up to around 100ft) in an all-brick/concrete / hard-wood-floored home. The router literally sits in her basement, and at the furthest reaches of the yard (at the mail box) my laptop and Droid's Wi-Fi Analyzer both show a strong signal.
Excerpt: If you live in a condominium like me, you're always afraid of your neighbors stealing your bandwidth. With the Linksys WRT400 Wireless Router, my wife and I are able to simultaneously play an online MMORPG together with zero lag and watch a movie streamed from Netflix on our xBox 360, all at the same time. The easy to set up 128-bit security encryption gives me a warm fuzzy at night knowing our home network is secure.
Excerpt: The best part about using a linksys wireless router is the fact that you know ease of install and setup is just around the corner. Any time I use a router I usually fall under the problem of not being able to connect my network, or not being able to log in or set up a password or locking and unlocking my network. Fortunately linksys's easy to use built in web browser menus makes configuring my network a snap.
