Summary: I'm not sure if it's the laptops PCMI slot that is bad or this card. The card doesn't power up or anything, so I'm sure some kind stuffed a sandwich in the laptops slot. I'll take it apart later on I guess. Either way I had one of these before on another laptop and it worked great, now this is for a laptop that didn't have built in wifi so stuff is pretty old. Either way it did B and G networks.
Summary: Just as described, and works perfectly. At first I could not get it connected after following all of the instructions. It would not connect. So I turned the computer off and back on, and it connected. No issues after that.
Summary: My laptop does not have built in WiFi, but it has a network card slot. I was looking all around Amazon.com to find a network card, and found a network card from this seller. The shipping time was very short and I received the card before I expected it! I then put the disc that it came with inside the computer and it set up everything for me. The speed of the connection is very fast, and it works very well! Pros: Fast speed, 54 Mbps. Easy setup. fast shipping!
WPC54G Ver. 5 (Marvell 88w8335) will NOT work on Linux

Summary: I have two WPC54G cards with the exact same decal as this picture. Rev 3.1 works on Linux if you are willing to go through the trouble of configuring it (which for me was an hour or two). Rev. 5 WILL NOT WORK ON LINUX (as of July 2011). I spent over 3 hours working on Rev 5, and I'm neither a Linux newbie, nor a computer newbie.
