Summary: It is a low profile. The card sits low with relation to the bracket so it sits high on the sucket. A friend has to cut 1 inch of the upper portion of the bracket in order to be able to close the cover. Otherwise, it works.
Cons: I bought this because I have had a LinkSys Wireles-N router for 3 years. The router is super stable and has worked perfectly for years. It provided access for; PS3, Wii, iPhone, Droid, 2 laptops, 1 Mac-top, my broke neighbor, a DSi, and was used as the gateway for my workstation and printer, which was used by all capable wireless devices. I bought this product because it matched the router exactly. The router was upstairs and my new HTCP build was downstairs, next to ...
Summary: - The included Linksys drivers will work properly, and the card will work extremely well. However, these drivers will cause mouse stuttering, and audio stuttering. This baffled me as it took much troubleshooting to realize it was my PCI network card.
Pros: None at all. Read on for more important information.
The signal strength is very week and awful customer support
S. Sivasubramanian, Amazon
10 April 2012
Summary: The signal is very week all the time and often the connection fails. Only way to make it work is to keep the router hanging on the back of the PC. That completely defeats the purpose of buying the wireless adapter. I read some review of few people who had the same problem, for some of them the problem seem to be resolved once the latest driver was installed. With lot of hope I approached CISCO support, had a chat with various people for nearly 3 hours.
Summary: I bought this card based on the user recommendations here on Amazon but I have to say that I am very disappointed. The first card I received was totally dead, so I returned it and was given a new one. This new one installed automatically with no problems in Windows 7 64bit, was detected by windows. Or so I thought. But actually the adapter was permanently disabled and could not be enabled.
Summary: What a waste of my money. Installed this in my new PC build and couldn't get a signal. Walked in with my phone and ipad and laptop. All showed 4 bars. Maybe the card was duff. Moved the PC and the only way I got 4 bars is when it was sat next to the wireless router. I even tried moving the bunny ears in different positions of horizonal and vertical orientation. Didn't make a jot of difference. What a load of rubbish. Don't touch with a barge pole. Please ...
Summary: I am glad to read that some people appear to have been able to get this blighter working with Windows 7 64 bit, but it doesn't appear to work with Vista 64. I've just rebuilt a PC and have spent more time fiddling around with this device than I spent on the rest of the rebuild and it still doesn't work. Linksys web site says it does work with Vista 64 in someplaces and says it doesn't in others...entirely inconsistent. If you are using Vista 64..
Linksys WMP600N Wireless PCI Adapter mit Dual-Band
8 September 2012
Summary: Först får det knappt plats i chassit. Sen installerar man det enligt instruktion och det fungerar inte. Den känner av nätverket men kan inte koppla på sig. Har nu lagt 5 timmar på den här skiten och så fungerar det inte 2012 och plug and play. SKITKORT!!!
