Summary: I'm no expert, and haven't clocked the thing, but the 3 year old computer I bought on craigslist now speaks to my FIOS network, pages pop up immediately, and installation was a snap. Provided it lasts, it's a winner. For under $15 you can't go wrong.
Summary: great price and works fine, however the drivers installation disk that came with it did not work, i had to find the drivers on the internet and download them. no big deal. i am still happy with my purchase and i would recommend it to others.
Summary: I would give this five stars, but it's a pain to get it set up. At first, I installed the software before installing the card; like the instruction says to. After installing the card and booting up my computer, it was recognized.
Pros: * Ran included install CD to work with Windows 7, no problem * Opened up Ubuntu 10.10 on separate partition, natively accessed and started using the wireless! * Good strong connection, but not farther than 30 ft. from home wifi signal * Was worried because Linksys usually sucks, but this doesn't
Cons: * Antennae is placed on the same side as cord connections for other PCI inserts, hard to find good placement, would be nice if it were on the other side of the card so as to avoid spatial interference
Summary: Install the driver software BEFORE you install this card in a PCI slot. Otherwise, you will search google for answers until you realize (like me) that you must install the software before the card goes into your PC.
Pros: Great for the speed. Does what it is intended to do. No complaints.
Cons: I just wish I would have bought a faster one. The antenna does not point upward. The way the card fit into my board I had to point the antenna slightly to the right instead of straight up. It gets hit with a foot every once in a while.
