Summary: After 2 hours I have given up. Like a previous poster said, just google wmp54g and windows 7 you will see dozens of issues. I'm getting a TP card which is supposed to be hassle free with Windows 7. Until Linksys updates their cards to work with newer OS like Windows 7, I will stay away from Linksys / CISCO.
Summary: This piece of hardware was not recognized by linux (fedora 11) or windows in any of 4 PCI slots. In other words, it was broken. I returned it for a refund. Next time I will just buy a new card, 20 bucks not worth the headache.
Summary: Haven't installed it yet. The "Linksys Certified Refurbished Product" installation disc was refused by my anti virus software. Contacted the Linksys help site and they refused to help me and told it was not a warrantied product despite the warranty in the box.
Summary: I bought two of these. The only reason I gave it one star is because both PCI Wireless Adapter were not in a ESD bag. The cards was sitting in cardboard boxs without any ESD protection. Card ver 4.1. All else is good.
Summary: Don't bother using this PCI card if you are running Windows 7, especially if it's x64; I run the 64-bit version and it was a horrible nightmare trying to get this card to first be recognized, then be stable. save yourself some heartache and get something else. Google "WMP54G Windows 7 64" and all you get is issues.
Summary: This product is 100% not compatible with windows Vista 64 bit or windows 7. It comes ready for windows XP but you will have to download seperate drivers for a 32 bit vista. I was very disapointed that this was not mentioned anywhere on the ad or even on the box!!
Summary: I typically do not like giving bad reviews but since Amazon keeps sending email reminders about reviewing purchased products then here we go: great price, very fast shipping, great packaging, arrived in perfect condition. Installed but Windows XP would not recognize that adapter is present, had to "force" XP to recognize there is a card in there by doing a manual install.
