Summary: Be careful when buying this card! On the positive side it worked very well with my old 32-bit PC (especially if you use a linksys router as well). However linksys do not (and apparently never will) provide 64-bit drivers for this card making it useless in windows vista 64-bit and windows 7 64-bit PC's. There are work arounds to get it to work but linksys support ware very unhelpful.
Summary: Ordered the product, installed it, and it works just fine. No problems what so ever...and that's a first for my computer and i ! I'm not going to try and blind you with techno speak, because i don't know any ! All i can tell you is it does the job intended, and it's a cheap upgrade for my ever ageing computer.
Excerpt: "This piece of technology is the best thing since the light bulb. Having said this you elimiinate the hassel of buying splitters and cords running all over the place if you have more than one computer in the home. Just install the adapter and it pickes up the signal from your other computer. It even works if there only one PC in your home but you may have to relocate your computer to another section of the room in order to pick up the strongest signal ...
Pros: Free internet service
Cons: You may have to move your Pc to another location of the room to pick up good reception
Summary: First off, if you're getting this for a Windows Vista pc then you will need to download Vista drivers from Linksys's website; the included drivers are for Windows XP and do not work. Other than that, it's a good deal I suppose. It tends to disconnect from the router randomly, at which point i usually reset the router. That's because it's a faster solution, the problem is actually the adapter itself.
Summary: I purchased one of these, along with a LINKSYS router. It was easy to set up in the PC, but a bit of a fiddle to get going. Reception was all over the place. I had to move the router and PC about in the different rooms to get a decent signal. But now it is working, it works well.
