Summary: I was able to follow the instructions as it requires you to connect it to a computer to set up the wifi connection. I like the idea that you can set a static IP address to override the DHCP address. It took me a week and a lot of configuration retries to realize that the device has to keep its power to remember the configuration. If the device loses power you have to start all over again as it won't remember the WiFi connection.

Summary: UPDATE: I'm downgrading from 4 stars to 2 stars since I'm looking for IPv6 support. But otherwise for regular ipv4 it's GREAT but pricey. After 2 hours of working the router just hangs and it needs to be physically rebooted. I had to downgrade the firmware to get it to work reliably but no IPv6 support. Sorry I can't live with that, not for the price of this router when others are available at half the price and same size.
Summary: I've been using this for over 2 years to stream Netflix on a Blue-Ray player that lacks a WiFi connection. I've never had a problem and in fact it works so seamlessly that I forget it is in place. Great product from IOGEAR.
Excerpt: I purchased the Wi-Fi adapter for my internet radio receiver that does not have built in Wi-Fi and is too far from the router to run a cable. It works well and is very easy to set up with one button connect. Works as advertised.
Summary: This was the first device I setup using WPS to connect a DVR for remote access. Just plug it in and pressing the WPS button on it and the router allowed it to connect to the secure router. It has been running now for two months with no issues. It is small enough to where I plugged it in and placed it behind the DVR out of the way, does not take up much space.
Summary: I have this hooked to my Directv receiver in the basement where there was no easy way to run an Ethernet connection. It seems to work fine. Connection was very easy but I used the WPS function on the adapter to connect to my router. This simplifies the whole process considerably compared to doing it manually.
Summary: After cutting the cord, I ordered a Simple.TV to record OTA shows. Unfortunately, Simple.TV does not have built in wifi, and more unfortunately, I did not have a cable outlet close to where my home router was in order to plug in Simple.TV via ethernet to my router. So... I ordered this handy little adapter to plug into my Simple.TV ethernet port and get the Simple.TV on wifi.
