Summary: I was so bummed that the adapter didn't function and had to return it, since it was the correct match for the right model of printer. I suspect HP not the seller as I had problems with HP items before. The seller accommodated in accepting the return and process it fast though. I can not tell if before or during packing/shipping something may have happened to it, but for sure HP should think of packing these things in a secured and cushioned box to protect the item (even...
Summary: I have connected device to my printer and attempted to locate device on my home network. But, nothing is detected. Must conclude it does not work. I have yet to contact manufacture support to confirm this. However, frustrated by fact that no installation information provided with device.
Summary: What I would have wanted to know before buying this product is that I was not going to work. My intent has been to print from my iPad. I had hoped and believed this item would make that possible. SO far . . . no luck, nor any useful findings on the HP forums.
Summary: It was easy to install, just stick it in the USB port and go. It worked very well while it lasted. But one slight move of the printer and the adapter snapped. The inside piece broke so now it won't stay in the USB port of the printer. It needs to be a little smaller so it doesn't stick out from the printer-similar to the new USB mouse adaptors. If you buy it, be careful. If you have a house of clumsy boys...just get the wireless printer with the internal wireless signal.
Summary: Works great. I have it set up for printing from my iphone. You need a 4.0 or better iphone and the iprint app. connect to the hpsetup wifi network and its all good from there. It's great that I no longer need to tote my laptop with me.
