Terrible documentation, but the device itself works really well ...

  • Summary: Terrible documentation, but the device itself works really well and operates seamlessly once you get it configured the right way. Was also able to get customer support on the phone for configuration issues and they were actually helpful.

The device was easy to set up thru my Ipad with wireless connection

Francis Tan, Amazon
  • Summary: The device was easy to set up thru my Ipad with wireless connection. It took no more than 5 minutes. No ethernet cable or setting up the ethernet port on my laptop, etc. However, the Ipad would not connect after the extender was set up. I Forget the Network on my ipad and reconnect with the network password. The ipad would just going thru the spinning wheel but connecting. I turned off the extender. My ipad connected without any problem.

The trick to getting most of the repeaters to work ...

CraigG, Amazon
12 August 2014
  • Summary: The trick to getting most of the repeaters to work is to set the routers to 20Mhz, not 20/40 Auto. The problem with this device is the way the configuration behaves after you have set it up. It is a very time consuming task to troubleshoot any problem because you need to bounce between modes(reboot) and Ethernet/Wireless. I got it to work, but figured I would buy another device that wouldn't be so difficult to manage.

Range A LOT Less Than What I Expected

Clint4rmCali, Amazon
17 December 2013
  • Summary: I was excited to buy this item to help solve my Wi Fi "dead zones" in a low profile, plug in unit. It's not too big and hides well. The setup was super easy via my Kindle HD tablet w/ no CD needed, as advertised. I was up and running in 10 minutes or less which includes opening the box. I'm using the device in repeat mode and it does the job within 20-25 FT, but any further than that and I notice a BIG drop in signal strength.

Solid teammate for existing home WLAN

AMAAD TATUM, TigerDirect.com
9 September 2013
  • Summary: Bought it to cover dead space in the bedroom with repeater function. Great setup, no computer required; I used my Android phone. Especially useful when you use Linux so no fear of setup requiring Windows drivers. Solid routing.

Couldn't get it to work

P. Raphaelson, Amazon
27 August 2013
  • Summary: This product is unique in a certain respect, which is that it accomplished exctly the opposite of what it promised. Rather than extending a network that had some difficulty reaching distant rooms, it shrank the network down to nothing. The configuration instructions prompted the unit to become incommunicative and to sabotage the existing network. Getting technical support led to some unique experiences as well.
