Summary: Bought it to cover dead space in the bedroom with repeater function. Great setup, no computer required; I used my Android phone. Especially useful when you use Linux so no fear of setup requiring Windows drivers. Solid routing.
Summary: I purchased this unit at the same time I purchased a comparatively ranked NetGear unit and the Hawking's performance is head and shoulders above that of the NetGear. Setup was simple and quick using my iPad. Love it!
Summary: Found that only way to get a 100% connection was to plug it in to an outlet in the same room as my router. When plugged in where I need it I get the fast blink indicating about 60% connection.
Summary: The device was easy to configure but only provides marginally better Wi-Fi performance. I am using it in the repeater mode and hoped to extend strong Wi-Fi by about 30 feet. I have tried several different locations for the unit, but the best it does is provide about 10 feet additional range. I would not recommend this device.
Summary: As with any other Hawking products I've used, they are bullet proof. This one is no exception. I installed it and after a very short setup, it's up and working. Now I don't even worry about it being there!
Summary: Product does what it purports to do; in this case, receive signal from main wifi router & relay it to a remote computer. Instructions could have been a bit clearer; it took me 2 tries to get it properly installed. It works as desired. Its main attraction is that it is a single unit that plugs into an outlet; does not require cord or place to set the unit. May have to get another one.
