Works Better Than I Expected
1 July 2013
Summary: Bought the HWREN-1 to replace a small repeater that we'd been using at our weekend cabin to share a neighbor's internet signal (source approx. 200 feet away). Set it up in a couple minutes - signal strength is now strong and we haven't lost our signal since (something that happened frequently with the old unit). FANTASTIC!
Summary: This range extender was simple to setup and performs well. Even better, when I had an unknown change to my wireless environment that took it offline, my call to tech support to get it fixed was handled immediately and well. I'd buy any Hawking product based on the excellent support alone.
Summary: Bought this product because I have a LCD 60 inch with both internet and wireless connections. Could never get the wireless to consistently work with the recommended wireless adapter. Set up was simple and easy, used the ethernet port on the back wired to my TV and everthing has worked flawlessly so far. Took a little longer to get the product that I liked, but eveyting else has been great so far.
Hawkins easily expand network and signal strengt.h

Summary: Setup went quick with just the quick setup guide though a manual and drivers are supplied on cd. Unike most repeaters this model intergrates seamlessly with your existing network name, settings and security rather than creating a secondary network allowing you to roam the whole house with tablets and not have to switch between two network signals.
Summary: I purchased the extender because I moved into a new two story house and was getting weak or no signal downstairs or in my yard. I am very knowledgable, building computers and setting up networks. It took two calls to Hawking to connect the router to my dlink. There tech support is out of India, the first guy was super nasty and I hung up on him.
Summary: I have had the device for 2 months and it has worked as advertised, great. It did take me 1.5 hours to set up, but that was my fault, since I was typing in an incorrect password from my router. Without screwing the password thing up, I estimate that set up would have taken me 15-20 mins. At least this allowed me to check out their customer service.
Summary: Took me 3 days with Netgear & 1 day with Hawking to get it to work. All I had to do was run the setup disk again for Netgear and then run the setup for Hawkings and everything functions beautifully! My dead spot is dead no more!
