Tech support sucks.

Summary: Does what is supposed to. If you are an IT guru then you should not have any problems extending your LAN. But if you need tech support to guide you on how to set it up, do not buy this product. Tech support sucks.
Be careful to not use spaces in your SSID if you try to use this repeater!

Summary: Very nice product but the firmware has a subtle bug in it which Hawking Tech Support cannot seem to diagnose. I spent several hours on the phone with then trying to determine why it wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi. Finally they gave up and said that it must be a defective unit.
Summary: The Hawking HOW2R1 has more than one serious shortcoming, but I will discuss the major one first: The HOW2R1 doesn't have a hardware reset button in case of password loss or power loss during reconfiguration of the HOW2R1's system settings.
Summary: Added this repeater to our Church network when members complained that they did not have internet access in some of our remote buildings. took about 35 minutes to install it, including running wires through the building wall.
Pros: Great range, easy mounting, easy connection, GREAT weather resistance
Summary: To be honest, I'm not the one you want to review. It's claim of 300' coverage is just not do. After two weeks of installation, it quit. I had to order a second one and send it in for a credit back to my account. Amazon has been amazing, hawking tech were not very helpful with thier own product.
Summary: Promptly received the Hawking HOW2R1 from Amazon. Used the Quick Setup and nothing happened. On the phone with Support for about one hour and finally determined unit was faulty. Contacted Amazon, they sent another one overnight at no charge.
Summary: I bought this hoping to expand wireless coverage at my church. We currently have a single Netopia 3347 DSL modem that has okay range. I was looking for a product that would provide much more range and coverage and work with the existing setup.
