Locks you out of your wireless router, so no web access whilst in use. :-(

K. Taylor, Amazon
  • Summary: I thought this would plug into my PC to communicate with the wireless in the projector.... Wrong! This plugs into the projector and communicates through your PC's wireless, thus locking you out of the wireless router during use. Bummer. . . Otherwise it does what it says it does.

Worthless for anything but remote display.

Dan Geist, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: Don't buy this unless you want to stream poor quality video from an app on a laptop or computer directly to the projector. It does NOT allow remote control of the projector in any way. This is not documented clearly anywhere online or in Epson's printed documentation. Very disappointing, but I'm shelling out the restocking fee on this one.

Disapointed

Stephane Wicky, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: This is how to do things in a very complicated way. A Ethernet plug would have been so much easier on the projector. This system needs your computer to have a wireless access. So the manufacturer thinks everybody on earth work with a laptop. And what If you don't? I have a tower computer, whith no wireless but wired ethernet. Maybe Epson thinks this doesn't exist, everybody has to have a laptop. But I don't. So their system is useless. But expensive...

it works as advertised

Amazon Customer, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: This works wireless with Windows 7 with and without a router (access to internet is not necessary). Also, you do not need to buy the quick connect usb. It is not good to play videos, it is not like a miracast adapter.

Don't expect to do any video over the wireless LAN

WCook, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: I setup the wireless LAN unit to work between my laptop and the projector. First of all the setup was very difficult. It required about an hour of messing around with the settings on the laptop software (disk comes with the wireless LAN unit) you install. This is far from plug and play. Secondly if you play on projecting video over the wireless LAN expect choppy video at best. Plus the farther the laptop is from the projector, the choppier it gets.

Needed for our projectors

M. Urso, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: Our normal supplier wanted a good deal more for these since we were only ordering a replacement. The other dealer also wanted a high shipping and handling charge. Purchased with Amazon Prime, no shipping, better price, and fast delivery. Just a note, this unit works with 96w and 99w also.
