Summary: Worked for POE outdoor Trendnet cameras, but had to replace power supply on one after 4 months. Might have been environmental though as it was in an outdoor weatherproof enclosure in direct sunlight in Florida.
Summary: We have found that in some cases the run of the mill 4 port PoE switch doesn't quite push enough power to the EnGenuis units we install. Additionally, using an injector allows us greater flexibility in placing what we are powering as we get some extra length.
Summary: This is basically a requirement for anyone deploying one of the Engenius APs. Unless you're going to have a power outlet right now to it (and lets face it most of us do not), this simplifies installation of the units greatly. Only annoyance is there needs to be one per unit (and you have to check if it's a 24 or 48 power requirement before buying) so you can fill up a power strip real quick with bricks in a larger deployment.
