Greatest Wireless G range, but discontinued for a much more expensive G/N
12 February 2013
Summary: This is a special use router. It puts out a very high power G signal and will reach through walls like crazy. You can use the base setup to crank up the output and a DDWRT disk is supplied if you want to go with open source. Only had 1 problem, probably a bad flash but they are very reliable. CONs There are NO ports other then the input cat 5/6. This device is designed to send wireless very far and that's it.
Summary: I use 2 of these as bridges with 2 circular polarized antennas, 5 mile range. At 1.6 miles I am testing at up to 6 MB this is up from the previous linksys ap's I used which only gave me 2.8 MB max connection. These are really easy to use and set up.
Summary: I am a computer network engineer. I have purchased over 20 of these for use in my company. Simply put, these are the best 802.11 devices in existence, period. With all the different modes, this device is universal and can be used for almost any situation involving Wi-fi. The very high gain with adjustable transmit power is a godsend, but be careful: it's very easy to break FCC laws when you start using larger antennas.
Summary: Setup was simple changing the static ip on one of our desktops and then changing the ECB3500s IP to the range of my router so i could change the other settings through the network. With the ECB3500 set at full power 28db im getting a -19dbm signal on two laptops 300 feet away. Although its only G its still much faster than the Netgear N and Dlink N APs ive tried. Great Product . easy setup.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection, Secure Connection
Summary: Awesome set of features not seen in a consumer-grade wireless access point. I did some research before making my purchase and this was the best choice for my 3500 ft/2 house. I really like the capability that this model has to reduce or increase transmitter power as needed. Power reduction is good for security and an increase adds to range when necessary. The site survey feature (a.k.a.
Summary: Bought a Cisco 610N, very disappointed in its range. Bought this unit, excellent range. I didn't realize it didn't have any ethernet ports. Duh, my bad. I didn't need them anyway. Missing a few setup options. Set basic but for me sufficient.
Pros: Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection, Secure Connection
Summary: I am using this device as a WAP. It has a strong signal and a pretty good range. I am not sure if I believe it supports the distances it claims but so far it seems a better option than some of the more well-known devices like Linksys. [...
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Highly Compatible, Secure, Small
