Summary: Set up was a bit of a pain, but not horrible. As a repeater, this thing doesn't work very well. My mac would connect to it at first, but stopped working after a week or two. It cuts your transmission rate in half (which is to be expected) and in my case it would work inconsistently. I would not recommend. My final solution was to run ethernet to a second router (cheap $25 router from Walmart) and connect to that.
Summary: It didn't disappoint me at all! I have a Mikrotik RB750UP at home and I bought two EAP150. I don't have any place without good signal now. It's important to say that it is a access point and not a router. Don't buy it if you don't know what it means..
Summary: I bought this AP as an evaluation unit...a commercial restaurant client needed a step up from consumer grade equipment, but didn't have the budget for the high-end wifi products out there...the Engenius line of products fits that middle ground perfectly. Easy to set up and configure, good form factor for commercial installations, PoE a definite plus.
Summary: I had an older version of this little AP at a previous work location and thought it worked really well. This new EAP150 is a great little unit. I purchased the optional PoE adapter and have the AP powered remotely and mounted high above a common area for guest network access. Something about the design of the antenna and the power output of the device enables it to have great range. I'm a fan of Engenius and hope they continue to make great products.
