You get what you pay for

Taylor G., Newegg
  • Summary: Utterly useless, even with latest drivers.
  • Pros: Is cheap, seemingly. The stated price is of course not the usual price (as is the common marketing tactic), but is always a third of that stated price. Also small.
  • Cons: Absolutely abysmal performance. Through one wall, the average speed is 90Mbps- far lower than the advertised speed. I wasn't even able to run a speedtest, as the adapter kept timing out the internet connection. I understand the appeal of a "nano" sized network adapter, but if the product is unusa...

Did not work

Josh F., Newegg
16 April 2015
  • Pros: Small, cheap
  • Cons: I purchased 2 of these. I tried them on a brand new Dell Optiplex Windows 7 computer. The first one caused the computer to immediately crash/reboot after driver install. Everytime it restarted, it would immediately crash when it booted into windows. I used the newest drivers from the website. The...

Doesn't Work on Ubuntu 14.04 - Update

Robert S., Newegg
2 April 2015
  • Summary: Tech did respond back, which was cool. However, they want me to pay to send it back even after acknowledging the product they sent was broke. It costs so little, I am better off just buying something else instead of continuing to take chances with them.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: They sold me broken hardware. Maybe they should test the products before shipping them out.

Doesn't Work on Ubuntu 14.04

Robert S., Newegg
27 March 2015
  • Summary: I emailed customer support. I will update after they respond.
  • Pros: It is small and it shows great signal strength after updating the drivers.
  • Cons: It won't work on Linux. I updated the drivers, but the speed is so slow, I cannot even load basic websites without timeout issues. I can very slowly download updates in the terminal, but it is a useless product right now. I regret this purchase and will need to buy something else if support canno...

Plastic Cover Broke After 2 Months of Use

Critical, Amazon
11 March 2015
  • Summary: The wireless ability worked fine, but the black plastic cover broke off after about 2 Months of use. The plastic is very thin and brittle that is used for the cover. I used this on a laptop that I use only about half of the time, and only take it in and out when I transport the laptop.

half speed of my network connection

JEAN-RAPHAEL P., Newegg
5 March 2015
  • Pros: smallest dongle that I've seen
  • Cons: don't buy this unless you really want to waste time and money, network reception is so bad with such tiny antenna
