Summary: Very inconsistent results. It can go from 1Mbs to 40Mbs on same machine same distance and everything else off. I used it for few months now thinking it's my network causing the problem. Well few years old adapter from another company works great all the time. Putting this one to early retirement.
Summary: After initially connecting the adapter had constant trouble connecting consistently. I tried to disable and reenable it, which didn't help. I ran windows troubleshooting, didn't help. Tried to cmd -> ipconfig /release -> ipconfig renew...didn't help. I ended up returning this item.
Summary: When I receive the USB adaptor I plugged it into the back of my Sony Blu ray player to initiate the Wi-Fi capability of the player. Unfortunately this USB adapter was not recognized by the Blu ray player and I was not able to receive a Wi-Fi connection.
Summary: We plugged this in to our computer instead of the adaptor we'd been using and it was practically useless--we got about 1/100 to 1/200 the speed we'd been getting before (we got about .1 Mbps with this), no matter where we plugged it in.
Summary: This product is very slow to load pages no matter if it is a basic webpage or youtube.com. I felt like I was using dialup (56k) from 1996. It was plug and play with linux mint 17, so that was a huge plus. It worked with our Windows 7 computer. (15 feet from wireless router 50% signal strength)
Summary: The speeds vary every time I plug it in. Most of the time it can barely limp along. I can't even watch an HD YouTube video for more than a minute before it begins to overheat and stop working. Facebook browsing seems alright.
Summary: I bought this to replace another wireless USB adapter I'd had since 2011 that suddenly stopped working. Unfortunately, this was a waste of money because the adapter only worked if my computer was in the same room as the router.
