Good for exactly 1 month

Brett H., Newegg
1 January 2015
  • Summary: I'm going to have to order a different one from a better brand like ASUS and spend twice the amount on a new one so hopefully this one is better for the money.
  • Pros: Was easy to install, I just plugged it in and downloaded the drivers and bam it worked with Windows 8.1
  • Cons: After 1 month EXACTLY this thing died. I ordered this on Dec. 1st on Cyber Monday and for that 1 month from now it worked but now its not.

Great for the moment, terrible 2 months later

Gabriel V., Newegg
22 November 2014
  • Summary: My old wireless card was finally giving out after about 3 years, I thought this was a fair deal but apparently you have to pay much more to get a card that will actually go the distance these days.
  • Pros: So the EW-7722PnD started out hot for a while, Wireless N / 5GHz connecting around 240mbps to my router, loved it quite a bit as I could transfer within the home with relative ease and the quality was great.
  • Cons: About a month in my Wireless N range drops, not to like 80 or even 54 but to 18.3mbps, despite shuffling ranges and trying to sort why the connection dropped I had no answer, my phone which also supports wireless N was able to obtain full speed on the same wireless testing. Giving up on Wireless ...

Not Bad!

William I., Newegg
18 June 2014
  • Summary: I am very satisfied with the product as well as the company. Despite me not being able to use it right out of the box due to my OS, it was more than worth the effort I put into it.
  • Pros: This adapter after a little work and pre-installation increased my internet speeds from 150Mbps with my old USB wireless adapter to 270.0Mbps average quite consistently. Now that it is up and running properly I do really like it. The dual channel helps me get the most out of my dual channel netwo...
  • Cons: I knocked it down an egg because for you windows 8.1 users out there like me, this is not by any means a plug and play device. Your computer will continuously blue screen until you rip it back out and actually install the correct driver ahead of time. The redundancy in my work of installation was...

Unstable connection

Em, Amazon
15 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought this card since it's based on a relatively new Ralink chip. My previous experiences with Ralink card was the Premierlink Hermes (USB) which's awesome. However, this ones, no matter which drivers you use, has a VERY unstable connection!

Works Great

Steven J., Newegg
9 November 2012
  • Summary: I currently only have 144 Mb/s according to the status of my wireless connection. My wireless router is operating in mixed mode though, due to an older laptop that only has 802.11g capabilities. I play Guild Wars 2 and this works great for me and I never have lag.
  • Pros: Works as advertised. I get my maximum bandwidth from ISP wirelessly. No cables to install in case leaves my cable management looking good. Came with install disc that was easy to use.
  • Cons: I have not experienced any.
