Summary: Easy to set up and after a few retries it has been stable for the last 6 weeks. It does require a fairly strong signal from your router for it to function reliably - about 50-60% signal strength. It extends your range and has a nice guest feature as well.
worked for small number of devices. not if you have more devices

Summary: I used this as an wireless access point. This WiFi access point is small and very easy to setup. It worked great if you have only a few devices. However, I have 10+ devices. It got very slow after 5 devices connected. I have a hard time and not able to connect more than maybe 5 devices.
Summary: I have this connected as an AP to an Arris router (Time Warner) and setup and functioning work. Works wonderfully to broadcast WLAN when the wireless router is stuck in a less-than-ideal location (as in our house).
Pros: Easy to setup (I've only tested it in AP mode), provides plenty of signal on the 2nd floor (where it's located).
Cons: Doesn't incorporate LAN out and therefore uses up the LAN cable in AP mode. Separate SSID in AP mode (could be a Pro or a Con depending on your requirements).
Summary: Works pretty well. Gives our house wifi better coverage. I am a little disappointed in the range. I was hoping for a little more. Overall, a good little unit (and it is small). I give it 4 stars just because of the range.

Summary: Works pretty well, established it as a repeater on the opposite side of the house. A little annoying as switching rooms requires the WiFi to reconnect to the more powerful signal, but very good if you're using your device in only one location. Does it it's meant to do!
Summary: I have a wireless router upstairs and have the EW-7438 downstairs configured as an access point. The range is very good and have not had any dropped connections. Works great for the money. Wish it was a gigabit devise. The setup software is a bit limiting.
Pros: Good value. Can be configured as an extender, access point or bridge. Works great so far.
Cons: Only 10/100. The Edimax setup software does not have an option for ONLY the DNS to be obtained automatically. It is bundled with IP and Gateway so either IP and DNS is automatic or static. This is a short coming with the Edimax setup software as other access point brands allow only the DNS to be ...
