Nice device

John E., Newegg
8 November 2013
  • Pros: My goal was to to extend the wifi in my house to the 2nd floor, so I was looking for an inexpensive compact n device that plugged directly into the wall. I didn't realize how compact it was until I took it out of the box. And for the cost (half price + $5 off coupon) it definitely fit the bill!
  • Cons: Would have given the device 5 stars had the setup been a little easier. The device has it's own initial dedicated IP address, which would normally not be a problem except that the device forces you to connect to your network on initialization. Once connected to your network (via DHCP), you loose the initial IP address and need to figure out what the new IP address is so that you can log into the device for further configuration.

Good product with a few issues

Geoffrey W., Newegg
24 October 2013
  • Pros: The device is super easy to set up. I had mine setup and configured in a few minutes. It also doesn't take up very much space. It plugs into the wall like an air freshener, but rather than spraying perfume into the air, it sprays wireless internet. It does exactly what it is suppose to and it does it well, for the most part.
  • Cons: Once or twice a week, the extender has to be restarted. When I try to connect, it tries to assign the IP address for a few minutes before just disconnecting and I can not connect to the extender until I restart it.

Very Happy

Anonymous, Newegg
17 June 2013
  • Summary: I'm very happy with the product. I knocked off one egg for the slow (to me) reboot time of 1-2 minutes, which was annoying to me especially when I was messing with the configuration.
  • Pros: Small
  • Cons: Had to flash the unit to latest software

Für kleine Netzwerke geignet

ZombyKillah, geizhals.de
11 October 2013
