Summary: Replaced the 3 db antenna on my rang extender with this one. The wifi signal jumped from 2 bars weak signal to full 5 bars excellent signal. What else could you ask for from an antenna. The link quality also greatly increased from 36 percent to 96 percent. Very pleased with this product.
Summary: Hard to go wrong for the price. I'll see if they hold but I don't expect too many problems - antennas are not a high "failure rate" item as long as they aren't broken or mistreated.
Pros: So I replaced my Engenius N300 Router's pair of 2-3dBi antennas with a pair of these 9dBi antennas (on sale). We have a big split between 2 buildings (about 100ft through trees and a couple of stories different in relative height on a hillside) and were not getting solid enough signal for devices...
Cons: So they couldn't quite get everything into the green but is that the fault of the antennas? I think not. They will improve your range, but they won't make the unattainable possible.
Summary: I may need to use a signal booster instead. Not sure if there is an issue with the antenna's or signal strength. At this point I am assuming a combination of "You get what you pay for" and the need to increase signal.
Pros: It was comical!
Cons: In my situation this did not work. I have a D-Link DIR-655. I removed the factory antenna's and installed the EA-IO9D 9dBi antenna's - I looked like a kid in a "Christmas Story" scene waiting for a change..... it seemed to drop a bit then back to it's original state. So It did not increase my sig...
