Summary: The only issue was with my main router. For some reason, there was an IP address conflict between the Diamond and my desktop. I found online that some other folks had faced the same issue and blamed it on the product.
Summary: I have had the extender for almost two weeks. I could not get consistent wifi connection in the back bedroom, hence the need for the device. After following the instructions and setup, I now have full reception in the back. I am able to play online in my room and stream movies.
Summary: the instructions are great...at first it might look a little complicated but go step-by-step and you'll be fine. took me less than 5 minutes to set up. we're using this for our master bedroom which is across the house from our router and a big problem for wireless.
Summary: We have Time Warner Cable we don't live in a really big house, 2,900 square foot, but there are bedrooms and living areas up and downstairs. We contacted Time Warner to see if the signal could be boosted to better reach a downstairs office in the front of the house as well as two upstairs bedrooms.
Summary: Once I got this device propoerly positioned in my home, it does a good job. At first I had put it too far away from the modem (maybe 30-35 feet), and it sort of split my signal into two networks. I brought it back in a little closer... (18-20 feet or so) and it does what I would expect it too.
Summary: The DR300N purchased from Amazon was easy to setup and worked as advertised. Recently we had to change our internet gateway and there does not appear to be any way to change the settings on DR300N. It doesn't reset by using a paperclip in the reset hole.
Summary: First the reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars. It isn't as easy to access the menu as it says, but with a few simple steps you can. The instructions are VERY lacking as to the many ways this device can be used. Go to the web site and explore and keep the outside of the box.
Summary: It looks like a large AC Adapter. Can now walk at least 300 feet from the adapter outside of the house and have a signal strong enough to Face Time. Set up was easy and it works. Simple as that.
Summary: I bought this device because I was hoping that I would be able to extend the range of our wi-fi to a room in our home that doesn't get a very good signal. Setup wasn't as easy as I had hoped (I'm pretty tech savvy) but I did eventually get it.
