Summary: I have one desktop computer with a Netgear Wi-Fi card in it that was just slightly out of range of my router. This was manly due to a neighbor's router being too close to the desktop. Using this directional antenna, I can orient it so that it rejects the interfering signal.
Summary: Great product. Prior to my purchase of this antenna I was unable to gain a signal on my laptop from the first floor to the opposite side of the house and second floor where my router is located. I'm now able to receive an "excellent" signal rating.
Summary: I am very pleased with the D-Link 6dB1 Antenna. It was very easy to install and has increased my connectivity to my wireless router. With the antenna on my PC wireless card I would get between 3 and 4 bars and would lose the connection but now I am at a constant 5 bars.
Summary: Didn't do the trick for me. I was trying to go through a couple of plaster-and-lathe walls, which may be too much to ask, but even then it was less effective than the stock antenna. Plus, it comes in blisterpack packaging = impossible to return. :( YMMV.
Summary: I've several wireless antenna's to hook to a distant access point. For my purposes, this one did little. Even when I pointed it directly in the direction of the router. I finally bought a more expensive antenna that gave me an extra 15% of signal strength.
Summary: The antenna boosts the range somewhat and is much cheaper than upgrading all netword nodes to a newer wireless standard that promises more range. A nice feature of the DWL-M60AT is that is can be directed where you need it.
Summary: The card I have is a D-link DWL-G510 internal. I have never liked wireless because it always seems to be inconsistant especially when gaming online. Having my wireless router two rooms away(20feet) I would only get 2-3 bars(40%) and it would drop randomly especially when gaming.
