A very useful and lightweight product to give you ultimate wireless power.

Summary: This product from D-Link is a very useful product. It's lightweight and small to travel with and works well if you are not in reach of a normal wireless router which enables you to be on the move and with wireless.
I travel 30 weeks a year; this is part of my travel bag

Summary: I travel some 30 weeks a year and this is a great product in a nice compact travel case. While most hotels offer wireless, some only offer wired connections. But MORE IMPORTANTLY, a lot of hotels' wireless is throttled-down or significantly slower than the wired connection. (You can check this with various Internet speed checks online) Some of my travels are last-minute and I don't get to research the hotel with wireless connectivity - now it doesn't matter.
Summary: I bought this purely as a travel accessory. My parents have broadband, but no wireless, so the access point seemed very nifty. So I crack it out and realize is also a router and a bridge ( which they call client mode ). Oddly enough this may be the least expensive wireless bridge on the market right now. It does WPA encryption and all the web front end is easy to figure out.
Excellent product that could use better instructions

Summary: Most importantly, this product does what it says it does and it works perfectly once it's setup. I've used it while traveling across Asia Pacific and it did just what I wanted: It gave me an quick and easy to establish portable wireless presence with all of the convenience and freedom that comes with that. My only complaint with the device -- and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars -- was that the setup documentation is lacking.
Summary: i've had the D-Link DWL G730AP for about 6 weeks and I'm very satisfied. Either as a portable wireless gateway or fixed, it works as advertised. My only complaint is that the documentation while simple is incomplete and missing some details (specifically regarding the need password for each mode of operation and more specifically for "client mode"). Quick notes: The range is surprising for so small a device.
Summary: I bought this router because I needed one in my second home (corporate apartment). It works great, and I was surprised how small it is. I haven't taken advantage of the portability yet, but I like that I can power the device with a USB cable (which means that I don't have to take the AC adapter with me when I travel). The router administration has all the features of a full-sized router. I've set up MAC filtering without any problems.
Summary: I am able to hook up to wireless networks without installing any software; a great boon since my IT Department at work will not provide computers with Wi-Fi or allow users to install software. This works great almost all the time. You have to initially configure the travel router so DHCP server is on, then reboot the computer so it gets its IP address assigned from the travel router.
Summary: The setup for this unit is rather difficult and I am not a novice techy. However, once setup this unit works great! The features are equal to or greater than a standard router. I use this for frequent business travel where I can share a single Internet access with colleagues. Overall, this is a great product. The extremely small size is a big plus.
Summary: This router has multiple useful modes, but repeater is not one of them. While traveling, I needed the ability to set the router up where it could hear the hostel wireless and repeat it so we could use our laptops in our room instead of standing at the end of the hall. No dice. I had also been hoping to use it as a repeater when I got home. I'll either have to run a wire or buy something else.
Router mode is flawless, client mode a little tricky

Summary: I purchased this for two reasons: 1) when I travel, I want to be able to use my PalmTX to connect to the Internet. I configured the Dlink router in Router mode while hooked up to my main computer. Once that was done, I connected the Dlink router to my main router, and I was able to connect my PalmTX to the Dlink easy as pie. However, 2) the other reason why I bought it was to connect an old laptop to my wireless network while in the living room.
