Summary: Mine ver B1 fw 2.02 which d-link stopped making in 2007. This device works great on xp and has drivers online for vista but no drivers for win7 or linux unless you use are using version C or later.
Summary: I have been using this adapter for almost 3 years now. Works flawlessly with windows XP. Vista, however is different story. Caution: Only version D1 of this product may work with Vista. D-link only provides beta version of drivers for D1 meaning it may or may not work.
Summary: I bought this antenna and the NETGEAR WG111 antenna to compare the two products. The D-LINK DWL-G122 regularly connects at only 36Mbps while the NETGEAR WG111 plugged into the same computer sitting in the same spot connects at the advertised 54Mbps.
Worked great for four months then it stopped working

Summary: I had no problems with this wireless adaptor for the first four months that I had it. I was able to get everything installed on my computer with no problems and the device was working great. After about four months the device stopped working suddenly and apparently is defective.
Summary: This item actually works OK. WPA-PSK worked OK for me (with DI-624 router). The problem lies in the construction of this adapter. Mine broken after a few month of use. If you use it often on your laptop, the wires within the adapter can snap fairly quickly.
Summary: Finally got this thing working after 3 hours of fighting it. Two tips: * try a different USB port. I wasn't getting the "New Hardware Found" like the manual said, until I tried a different port * try using the Windows configuration utility instead of the D-Link configuration utility. It just works.
Network access in a pinch but not a long term solution
12 January 2006
Excerpt: I got the DWL-G122 when I moved to a new house that was not wired for a network. The DWL-G122 worked very well as long as the computer was being used. The range was exceptional, I always had a good connection on the opposite end of the house from my access point.
Pros: Quick and easy connectivity when no other option is available.
Cons: Does not reconnect after system standby without a reboot.
Summary: When it works, this USB wireless adapter is very nice. The main problem that I've had is that it does not make a tight connection with the USB port, and I've tried several different USB ports that other devices work with just fine.
Summary: I tried to use this with an older computer that only had a USB1.1 port. The throughput was pathetic, limited to 56K and a call to Dlink tech support confirmed it. Works fine with another notebook with a USB2.0 port. Got up to 3Mbps on one bandwidth meter. m.
Excerpt: I've had this for about 2 months now. It was intended to run on my windows 200 PC but had very tough luck using it. I found it very difficult to install and configure to run and D-links customer service had several attempts to help with the issue.
