Summary: The D-link DWL-AG530 wireless adapter is easy to set up. Got 2, the docs are skimpy if you are a wireless novice. Everything worked after setup but you are left with questions. Web site confusing, better FAQ needed for security features. Some screens different from Me v. XP. Product works well.
Summary: I have several of these in older desktop PC's running Windows 98 and Windows XP. I don't know if drivers are available for later operating systems. The adapter is easy to install and works great. I especially like the detachable external antenna that allows flexibility in placing it for best signal.
Summary: This One is working all weather.I trust Them,I Have totally 7 products.I love Them.Because It is working anywhere in my House, evenly under my Basement. If We want stronger signal,We can upgrade Them with wireless omni antenna 2.4 .OH My men It is so perfecly.
Summary: After reading the good reviews, I tried out this PCI card. I particularly liked that the antenna can be positioned away from the computer in order to find the ideal reception. I compared this model against a similarly priced Linksys USB Adapter [Model WUSB54GS], which also allows for a positioning...
Summary: I replaced a LinkSys 802.11a+g PCI card with this one under a Windows XP Pro SP1 environment. Signal strength jumped from poor to very good. Additionally, the LinkSys card would only attach to an 802.11a+b LinkSys access point at 802.11b specs. With the DLink card I connect at 802.11a 54mb speeds.
Summary: I bought this card to use in the 802.11a (5.8 GHz band) in a "difficult" location in my house. The external antenna is a great benefit in obtaining the maximum signal available without getting into some very specialized and expensive antennas that would be out of place in a home environment.
Summary: after trying the linksys A+B+G pci card and having nothing but problems, i tried this D-link model and had no problems.... in window XP SP1 i didnt even have to install drivers off the cd and the card was instantly working with my wireless lan with no further reboot.
Summary: I decided to get the DWL-AG530 a couple of months ago to work with the DI-784 AP. The DI-784 is experiencing all the problems that other reviewers have reported. This morning the 2.4 GHZ radio died in the DWL-AG530. The "A" side still works, but nothing on "B/G".
