Summary: Unit is solid and sturdy and has a bit of a utilitarian look to it. The software that comes with it lets you manage multiples of these devices at a time at a layer 2 level, meaning even if you don't know what it's IP address it, it'll find it and you can set it. I had never setup WPA enterprise before, so it took a little bit of googling and trial and error, but I did get this going. Device seems "faster" than the Linksys WAP54G we have been using.
Summary: I have had this access point for a year now. I have only had to restart it once and I think it was because of instability in the LAN in general. It works 100% of the time. I configured it via its web-based interface and never had to touch it again. In the reliability department it is just 110% excellent. Feature-wise is also 5 stars.
Summary: Installed to replace some older Linksys wireless equipment. Works very well as an access point in a medium to large network. Allows DHCP pass-through without any problem. We're easily getting 100ft range at 80 - 100% through 4 - 5 walls in all directions. Coverage still available about 20% at 200 ft. This access point has very solid, reliable range, and supports a wide range of access protocols and security.
Summary: this AP is excellent, many environments i support use them, being poe we can stash them up in the ceiling and if they need power cycling the ethernet can just be unplugged from the switch. i ordered 4 of these about 10:30 am and recieved them same day before 4:00pm stellar service, would definately order again.
Summary: I'd used one of these before for a cost sensitive customer and they were very happy with it. So when a small school needed to connect two offices 200' from each other, I suggested these. I configured them as WDS no problem, then took one to the office and they were out of range. I took a network analyzer and measured the wireless signal and the Verizon modem/router w/built in wireless (with no external antenna) had a stronger signal and better range!!!
Summary: Very easy to configure product. I think that DLINK is a solid product in general. I have been in IT for 20 years, and I have found their products to be very stable and afordable. Good range , much better than anything that you would pickup at staples. 2 thumbs up.
Have purchased 40 of these and have never had a problem

Summary: I have been using this DLink model for the last two years. I have installed 40 of them in mission critical environments. I have never had one fail. They are relatively easy to configure. If you are not terribly computer savvy you may have confusion, but if you are a pc pro, no problems. I used to use Cisco APs at $700 a copy. Not anymore. This unit is every bit as reliable and provides excellent coverage. Very flexible for alternative antennas as well.
Summary: We have over twenty of these in various warehouses. They are all mounted near the ceilings where sometimes the tempatures get quite high in the summer time. They work flawlessly and do their job well in a industrial setting. For the price, they can't be beat. I highly recommend them and continue to order more as we continue to connect our other warehouses.
Summary: This AP works great. Great range and speed. It didn't come with an Admin/Install guide (which would have been nice) but you can download the pdf from D-Link's website. It comes out of the box with a 192.168.0.50 IP address so keep that in mind as you are setting it up for the first time. Beware, if/when you change the admin console password, it doesn't seem to like passwords over 10 chars.
