I've had 2 break

Anonymous, Newegg
16 June 2015
  • Pros: The internet speed (the 10% of the time it actually received signal) was excellent
  • Cons: I had two break in identical ways through regular use. The piece that connects the adapter to the antennae comes off inside and renders it non-functional. This has happened to me /twice/. Do not buy.

Performance Anxiety?

Antonio D., Newegg
29 July 2013
  • Summary: It's cheap and it works (when it wants to). I have a TP-LINK USB adapter in a computer 10 feet away and it works perfectly fine. It's not in a strange position considering the router is directly above the PC this is in.
  • Pros: Easy and quick setup. Software can be ignored if you use the windows wi-fi setup.
  • Cons: A mystery to use. I was having absolutely atrocious performance. I put my router in G mode only like another reviewer said and it seemed to do the trick. Been up and down but it seems to be performing like it should lately.

10 July 2013
  • Summary: ok so after further playing with this adapter all day the N mode actually is pretty bad. maybe because im above one floor and maybe its the house materials or for whatever reason but i was only able to download at under 1mbps. which is horrible
  • Pros: good signal in G mode only. downloads are above 20 mbps.
  • Cons: only the G mode works. when i set my N router to any other mode like N i dont get any download speed past 1mbps.

9 July 2013
  • Pros: it works
  • Cons: slower then my G adapter... was upset with the distance and speed of internet. def my G adapter was at least double the speed. i uninstalled it and tried both again and again and each time it proved horrible. i checked through speed test for results.
