Summary: No chance to test this yet. I'm rebuilding an older computer and have not had the time. will update when I have a chance. I have had very good luck with D-Link in the past so no reason to expect any problems
Cons: Installed in one computer and got a NMI memory error. Thought it was system, installed in 2nd system...same same. Looked on internet and found many with same problem and no solutions that worked. Not impressed.
Summary: Since there's no clear description in the specs in reference of the type of connector this card uses I had some difficulties to find the right cable extension, since there are different types.
Pros: Excellent performance any problem at all, easy to install, no signal issues, just perfrct.
Cons: Because of the structural conditions I needed to buy an extra antena with extension cable to get it closer to the window for better reception.
Summary: My Build: Asus Sabertooth 990fx The Ultimate Force Motherboard AMD Zambezi 3.6ghz(3.8turbo)Quad-Core CPU- Black Edition EVGA GeForce 550ti(Fermi) Ripjaws 8GB (2x4gb) RAM NZXT Phantom 410 mid-ATX chassis
Pros: It has yet to assasinate anyone I am emotionally attached to.
Cons: Absolutely useless. Picked up barely any signal, with brief (1-2 second) spikes, on a network that 3 other devices (older laptop, iPad and iPhone) all connected to perfectly. Tech support was a nightmare. Very obviously undertrained team reading off of a Q&A tech support prompt program. Disconnec...
Cons: Signal jumps SO much, 20-120 Mbs. I can put my wife' laptop right next to it and everything with her signal is fine at 150 Mbs steady. Downloads freeze before they finish. I finally got fed up and moved the computer next to the router and hardwired it just to downoad drivers and updates.
Summary: The D-Link DWA-525 Wireless-N 150 Desktop PCI Adapter was a wonderful purchase. I have had no problems with it except for its compatibility with Ubuntu (but I think that's my fault). The signal is at a fair level even across the house where my computer resides.
