  • Summary: got this to use with d-link dir-825 router. I have it to use with the 5ghz band while other family memebers use the 2.4 frequency. i rarely lose connectivity with this adapter and happy with the purchase.
  • Pros: great connectivity over both frequencies
  • Cons: pricy for a usb adapter

Easy to set up, reliable connection

  • Excerpt: I puchased this to use on an older HP desktop computer that does not have wireless. I am using it with the D-Link DIR-655 Gigabit router. The software was easy to install and the connection was just as easy. The dual band part is a bit confusing as there aren't any references in the documentation about how to change it. Apparently the adapter chooses which band to use. Having the USB cradle is great. It allows you to move the adapter around to get the best signal.
  • Pros: Easy to move around, Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection

  • Summary: I Price matched this and got it for 40 bucks. Its really good and always gives me a 300 speed all the time. I don't know what people rated it soo bad. It acually is really good. it doesn't disconnect for me and yaa. Althought there isn't much of a difference over dual band than single. I have this paired with a dir-825 router.
  • Pros: Structure, Usb Cable, Light, Strengh
  • Cons: Software

  • Summary: The D-Link DWA-160 Xtreme N Duo 802.11n USB Adapter was extremely easy to install and appears to be working fine so far. I have installed internal adapters in the past and this is a lot easier as you don't need to open up the box to install; just load the software and plug it in the computer's USB port. And the price was really good as well.
