Cons: The only con, if you consider it one, is the amount of clearance - in front of or behind your computer - needed to plug the thing in. There are smaller dongles out there for WI-FI, but I'd be afraid to try another brand unless it was the only alternative because of space around the USB ports.
Summary: I bought this to give wifi connectivity to a Dell Inspiron from 2002 for my kids and none of the adapters I had would install successfully under the Sugar On A Stick(OLPC)version of Fedora that I put on my younger kids laptops. This device was plug and play in this environment.
Summary: I discovered that my second computer would not accept the internal adapter card and returned for replacement with the D-Link DWA USB adapter. Glad I did since installation takes only a few minutes and it seems to work just as good...also portable if I ever need to move it to a different computer.
