Summary: I've bought two and they are great--as long as you don't forget it's on your laptop and just throw it in the bag. Mine broke into five (!) pieces. Up until then it was great. The one I bought for my dad's desktop wasn't subjected to that kind of abuse and is still going strong. Attractive piano black with nice blue LED, good speed. Can't really complain about the simple set-up either.
Summary: The Wireless Adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VJL0OI/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title performed as expected and much lower in price than in any store I have seen. Information provided before the purchase was adequate.
Summary: Installed on an older PC with Windows XP and it worked fine out of the package. I used the installation disc that came with it instead of the most current download from D-Link support. I have had to click repair a couple times after the system had been restarted but other than that it works as advertised. I will probably go ahead and update the software soon.
Summary: I got this product at the end of August after the wireless card that was built in my labtop got fried. The product works great it is very small and is not an incovience to using my computer at all. I would highly recommend this product. The one negative that I found is that like some of the other reviews say it does tend to heat up alot.
Summary: Works perfectly in my 10 year old Windows XP machine (USB 1.0). Installed the driver and plugged the device in--viola--works flawlessly! It's a bit slow, but for my need that doesn't concern me. I'm using it to stream video for my 4x camera home security system. Also, it arrived right on time!
Summary: I used it to replace a lousy internal wireless adapter in Dell Zino (replaced by Dell, but still lousy). [...] This one is 50 times faster. If you are annoyed by blinking activity light, stick it in the back USB port.
Summary: i have two of these and let me say, they are excellent in every way,i will not buy anything else and neither should you. if your looking for a wireless adapter this is the one. take the leap and buy it you,ll thank me later. fast and easy install, long range, small size, what more could you ask for?.
Summary: As others have stated, this adapter runs damn hot when in use, but it does work as advertised with great range. In fact, I can pick up more WLAN's with it than I can with the laptop's built-in wireless (not that it matters). Speed is as advertized (GREAT). If it were just a tad smaller I'd like it even better, but it works as promised, and for that I give it 5 stars.
