This is my second one in 4 months.

Ali, Amazon
11 September 2013
  • Summary: I bought the first one in late June 2013. After 6 weeks, my computer shut down and wouldn't run. I checked the adapter and it was very hot ! My hand burned, it was so hot. I read a few reviews, asked a few questions and was told that some of these had factory issues.

Great Choice

Edward D., Newegg
22 January 2013
  • Summary: Bought 10 of these. I live in an Old House converted into 7 apartments, tenants share Internet access & now use DWA-125 Wireless Adapters. There have been less issues since everyone uses the same USB adapter. * Im also in Entertainment & use these on several Tour Busses as well inside venues.
  • Pros: Easy SetUp Good Price Good Company So far so good
  • Cons: So far I have had No Issues ** Many of the BAD comments should check to see if you have a NEW adapter or Refurbished one. Many of the Refurbished ones Can & Do have issues.

Works... Ralink RT3070

Julian D., Newegg
4 October 2012
  • Summary: I hope my other review did not go. At the time, I thought that this adapter did not work out of the box with Ubuntu 12.04.... it does. Guilt has set in and I hope that it does not make it. I also have not used this for a period of time so who know how it will be long term.
  • Pros: Cheap, Works
  • Cons: Not Dual Band, Not a RealTek chip.

  • Summary: A very easy to install product. Just disable your previous wireless hardware, and install the drivers from the disk. So far it has been very reliable, no problems at all. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I thought it would increase the range I could move from the router.

DWA 125 Dlink

Jan H., Newegg
13 March 2012
  • Summary: NewEgg of course had my order to me in record time. On shipping they can't be beat. Glad to see their packing has gone back up to the former standard, at least for my order. Packing got a little ridiculous there for awhile. Who in their right mind would ship RAM in a padded envelope?
  • Pros: Very small and compact. Can be used in it's cradle or as just a USB plug in. Connects just fine to a DLink router once you figure out that you need to push it's connection button as well as the one on the router! :) Range seems fine. I'm getting a good connection from two rooms and two walls away...
  • Cons: Only thing I wish was that the cord was longer from the cradle. I like to be able to move my adapters around to get the best signal and the short cord is not helping in that. In fact I may have to use up one of the front USB top ports to be able to move it where I want it instead of having it plu...
