Summary: If you figure out the maze of firmware updates and drivers for the controller chip model you get with this card, you can get it up-to-date and working fantastically. Unfortunately, D-Link kinda leaves you out in the cold and just gives you a driver from 2010 on their web site.
Pros: Works reliably once you've got it set up. It's also a standard Renesas chip so it works with generic Renesas drivers and firmware updates... this is important!
Summary: Great card! No difficulties doing the install, recognizes everything I throw at it. Very fast transfers. This one blows away the Mediasonic one, which I threw out. I wish I had bought this one first.
Summary: Got the item and installed it with no issues. Followed the installation instructions and the unit was good to go, but when I went to complete a file transfer with a USB 3.0 external hard drive using a USB 3.0 cable and the unit, I was only getting USB 2.0 speeds (Approx. 33 Mbits/sec).
