Summary: It should be noted that there are two 2740b based types the n615 and n300. I noticed that several people mix up the two that have almost identical specifications. However the 615 is not so hot on the wireless side where as the 300 is.
Summary: I requerid open ports for a NAS and PS3 game consoler and was very easy. Interface intuitive , auto-detect services built in NAS device like u-torrent client and another services. View attach and disconnect devices an LAN-Network is very easy
Summary: I used the older 2640b for several years. I also used them and the 2320b for some of my DSL clients. I decided to upgrade and bought 2 of the 2740b. They worked fine as a modem and wired router. But, I never got either of them to show up as a wireless device on my older laptop.
Summary: I been a D-Link user all my life, and needless to say I always been happy with the quality and functionallity . But not with this product. I bought this item thinking I would get the one on the picture which seems well build, tough and of good quality which I was used to by D-Link.
Summary: Please be aware DLink changed the product. You're no longer getting the one pictured above (alluminum). Now you get a cheap-looking black plastic one. It seems that D-Link decided to lower manufacturing costs as well as quality.
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM IT IS NOT WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE

Summary: I wanted to get the RangeBooster DSL modem with all of the features that are mentioned on this page and was willing to pay more for it. However, what I got was the "DSL-2740B" which is a much lesser product than what is advertised here.
