Summary: Update - I had a problem accessing the router settings. Called DLINK under warranty support. Excellent help determined that Microsoft Internet Explorer was the issue. Removed latest IE 11 which reverted to IE 10 and the access issue was resolved.
Summary: I have been using the DIR-865L since it was available on Amazon (January 2013) and have had no problems. I have multiple access points and bridges throughout the house and property (using a Engenus ENH200 antenna about 200ft away for our solar system).
Summary: Don't know why people are having problems with this unit. Mine is in a basement corner location and have 6 wireless devices and 6 wired devices to this unit through out a 2 story house and the signal is constantly strong, better than I thought it would be.
