Summary: I bought this and replaced a working router because of the extended range. My alternative was to get a range extender, which was about the same price. I found that now the Wi-Fi reaches across my house and I don't get drop outs like I was with my older router. I had a heck of a time getting it installed and ended up calling customer support for guidance (they were wonderful by the way). I finally got it installed and working and am quite happy with it.

Summary: I have Comcast "Performance" internet service: 25 Megabits download , but with my older Motorola SBG900 combination cable modem / wireless router, but I got only about 17 megabits download with the ethernet cable from the modem to my mac mini, and 10 megabits with newer wireless devices, HP laptop running Windows 7, iPhone 4S, , and iPod touch 4th generation, at a distance of a few feet from the router, and only 2 megabits download speed in the kitchen, 25 feet from the...
Summary: With only a quick set up pamphlet of instructions, which anyone with IT knowledge can do without instructions, it was a bit confusing on setting up the perks of the router. E.g. cloud USB HDD and so on. Other than those few things, I love it and always use DLink products over Netgear and the other junk.
Summary: Plug-in-play, Easy set up. I also experienced locked up before updating the firmware from dlink site. After the update, we are getting the proper download and upload speeds from our ISP. Overall, I would recommend this router in despite minor negatives, the router performs well.
Summary: So far, the signal strength is powerful, and we are getting the appropriate download and upload speeds for the internet package that we have. The original setup was a bit of a problem - the customer service even didn't know how to solve the problem and left us to figure it out for ourselves.
