Summary: Don’t waste your money on this router. It is a piece of JUNK. It drops connections, freezes and sometimes won’t connect at all. And don’t try get help for Dlink support because they’re website is no help at all and they don’t respond to your inquiries. I bought this router because I thought it would more powerful than my old one, I was wrong. The signal only goes a few feet from the router (without any obstructions).
Summary: Didn't work out of the box. The web interface is slow and the device required a fair amount of configuration to interface with a basic cable modem. It goes through a lengthy boot up process and continuously drops the internet connection and attached devices. The Iphone app is somewhat basic and feels dated. I ended up switching back to the brand I previously used. No issues since.
Summary: This thing is a peice of junk. First it wasn't really any faster then the WiFi-G I replaced with it. Second it stopped working after only a couple of months... it would periodically turn off and I would have to spend about 30 to 40 minutes getting everything reset. Then the next day same thing would happen. Finally it just stopped and I had to go back to my old router which has worked flawlessly since college. Don't waste your money.
Summary: This router constantly drops the internet connection for my DSL modem. Wireless is constantly droppong as well. When the wireless is working and the internet connection is up, it is much slower than my old Linksys G router. We have two tablets, 2 android phones and two laptops. Could not get the Windows 7 system to connect to it wireless.
Summary: recommend some knowlege of what, how and, why - so conflicts can be resolved during installation after installing could not link with compiter, internet, talked to isp provider who coud ot resolve issues, talked to d link customer service spent almost an hour. They could not resolve issues advised me that unit was defective. thanks to amazon return policy returned.-- third party d-link rep advised and recommended to purchase a different company product...
Summary: My WRT610N was acting flaky, and after paying through the nose for that, I thought I would try a different brand and something cheaper (since the WRT failed after 2 years anyway). Don't bother. There is something seriously wrong with the DHCP engine in this. All the tech responses say you should assign static IP addresses to avoid problems. Isn't that why I bought the thing? To manage that for me?
Summary: Tried 2 different ones and finally contacted d-link. They tried to connect and couldn't, so rep said to return. When I questioned what could be wrong, rep stated "bad batch". I returned. I would try again and this time maybe I could get one from "good batch". Amazon was again amazing with help for return! They make it simple. Wish they would subcontract there employee's to some of their vendors.
Summary: This is a terrible product. Dont buy it if you expect easy setup and to be able to use the dlink cloud. This router replaced a dlink 601. The setting in this router were exactly the same as the 601 after going through the setup wizard, but couldnt connect to the internet. Called dlink and talked to a technicain that was not very samrt. Asked me to click the copy PC MAC after logging into the router settings. It didnt copy the settings, just blanked the field.
